Our story begins in April of 2020, while everyone was on lockdown during the pandemic. We were introduced by one of our best friends (thanks Freddie) and instantly clicked over our love of music and art. Even though we both lived in the same city, and had not met yet, Marissa moved to Washington to take care of her grandpa. We then did long distance for about 3 years, there were lots of long phone calls, filled with laughter and hopes of one day getting to finally be in each others arms.

As soon as pandemic restrictions were lifted and we got our vaccines, we started hopping on planes to visit each other on our school breaks. The year of 2021 felt unending, and we missed each other more than anything. Though, through it all we managed to get by on letters, texts and plane tickets. Every second we got to spend together in person felt like a gift in itself.

Marissa moved back to Bakersfield and started attending CSUB. We felt so lucky to spend time together, and fell even more in love with one another. Being able to spend so much time together was more valuable than we will ever know. We finally got to do the in person parts of life together. We got to spend time with family, and even doing little things like homework together felt exciting.

Gabbi started CSUB, and we got to go to school together. It was so nice being with each other, we tried to take any class we could together! We also moved into our first apartment, and had a blast building our first sets of furniture and making our first little home feel cozy. We adopted our adorable dog Clover, and had the best time learning how to be good dog moms!

In the summer of 2024 Gabbi proposed with a perfect day at home and a beautiful dinner. A couple weeks later Marissa proposed right back on the bluffs in Santa Cruz. Now officially engaged, we began the wedding planning journey!

In 2025 we celebrated Gabbi’s graduation and adventured around California, Washington and Oregon! We spent so many cherished days with family and loved ones.

Finally after 6 years of loving each other, and doing life together we are getting married. We are beyond excited to see what this year holds for us as a married couple, and so thankful for our loved ones to be with us for the wedding!
